Clearing & Site Prep

Lot & Land Clearing in Edison, NJ

Edison Excavation clears residential lots and overgrown backyards. Brush, tangled growth, and stumps that are in the way come out, and the mature trees and features that give the property its character stay put.

Our clearing approach

Our clearing approach

Over-clearing leaves a property looking scraped for a long time. We remove what's in the way and keep what matters.

Clearing by Selection

Brush, overgrowth, and volunteer saplings come out by hand and by machine. Before we start, the trees and root zones worth saving get flagged.

Stumps & Roots Pulled

Compact equipment lifts stumps and roots out cleanly, leaving firm ground ready for grading rather than a yard covered in grindings.

Debris Gone, Ground Raked

Material is chipped or hauled away and the area is raked back to a clean, walkable grade. No ruts left behind.

Clearing for yards people already live in

Most clearing equipment is designed for open acreage, not a fenced suburban backyard full of trees the owner wants to keep. Our compact machines pass through tight gates and work near the house and plantings, so what you want removed gets removed and nothing else does.

  • Where we work

That suits jobs like opening up a crowded backyard, reclaiming a grown-over back corner, or clearing space for something new, while the keepers stay.

What happens after you call

From the site walk to the final cleanup

  1. 1. Site Walk

We visit the property by appointment, check access and any constraints, and go over your plans or what you have in mind.

  2. 2. Marking & Layout

The layout is set on the ground with laser accuracy. Depths, lines, and elevations are marked before any digging starts.

  3. 3. The Work

The right machine for the access comes in, ground protection goes down where needed, and disturbance to lawns, trees, and hardscape is kept to a minimum.

  4. 4. Clean Handover

You're left with a site ready for the next step and a yard that's still in one piece.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, and it's central to how we work. Keepers get marked during the site walk, we stay out of their root zones, and we clear around them instead of driving over them.
